Negative Interest

The 2012 Republican playbook

leave a comment »

As far as I can tell, the Republican Party seems to be counting on the following when it comes to the 2012 election:

1. Americans will blame Democrats for failing to pass legislation and not Republicans for killing legislation.

2. Americans really, really want troops to remain in Iraq for several more years.

3. Americans will ignore Obama’s string of foreign policy successes if Republicans keep talking about American exceptionalism and “apology tours.”

4. When given the choice between a jobs package that creates jobs and one that doesn’t, Americans will prefer the latter.

5. Americans will be far more concerned with the needs of the top 1% than the bottom 99%.
